This is a sketch of the Atlantic ocean and the beach I have been on the past 3 days. Sometimes I like to do some of my Art from memory rather than actually looking at the subject. I also did a sketch plein air but did not like it as much as this one.

Hampton Bays, waterskiing

These are quick sketches done while sitting on the porch looking over the Paconic Bay in Hampton Bays at my friend's house this past weekend. There was a storm system all day on Sunday and the sky was constantly changing. It was fun to quickly sketch impressions of colors changing in the sky and bay. I have come here on and off through the years to visit a friend from childhood whose family still owns this lovely old house from yesteryear. There are many happy memories for me from our time spent together during that long ago decade of the '60's when we were younger.
