12"x16" watercolor, gouache + graphite on Stonehenge paper
I did this painting in the Adirondacks in August. I needed to do a
finishing touch in the foreground and
I finally got around to it. I
sometimes, let my paintings hang around so that
I can look at them throughout the day as I walk by them.
I do this when I am not sure
exactly what I need to do to finalize a piece.
It was the case for this
one.
I was loving the reflections and the colors but something was
missing.
....hmmmm, I am not even sure that I did the right thing by adding in the
foliage in the fore
but it was true to what the actual view was.
